1. What is squeezing(peristaltic) circulation system?

The squeezing(peristaltic) circulation system utilizes multiple rollers to alternately squeeze and release the flexible ink tube, causing the volume of the tube to periodically decrease and restore, thus generating the flow of white ink. Over time, this continuous operation will accelerate the aging process and the tube will gradually lose elasticity, eventually leading to a decline in sealing performance or even damage and leakage of the tube.

For professional users of DTF printer, this is not a significant issue. They will regularly maintain the tube system and they can promptly repair the pipeline if there is any damage occurring. However, among our clients, there are some that are new to the DTF printing technique. Occasionally, we receive complaints from them stating that there has been a sudden issue with the white ink supply of the printer and the worst part is they don’t know what to do at all.

They might be successful in their own businesses, but get quite panic and helpless when facing a white ink issue. This mechanical failure of the circulation system put them into significant challenges and troubles. 2. New technology - Procolored Siphon White Ink Circulation

First of all, let’s figure out how Procolored Siphon White Ink Circulation works:

The electric motor, through a speed reducer, converts the high-speed rotation into low-speed and high-torque motion. This motion drives the diaphragm to move back and forth and generate positive and negative pressure, transporting the white ink from the intake end to the discharge end of the circulation system. The white ink flow is controlled by the opening and closing of the check valves to circulates within the system in a positive displacement manner.

When the diaphragm moves outward, the volume of the ink chamber within the circulation system increases, creating negative pressure. This causes the check valves to close at the discharge end and open at the intake end, drawing the white ink from the ink reservoir into the ink chamber of the circulation system.

When the diaphragm moves inward, the volume of the ink chamber decreases, creating positive pressure. This forces the check valves to close at the intake end and open at the discharge end, allowing the white ink to be discharged through the outlet pipeline and returned to the ink reservoir.

Meanwhile, at the discharge end of the circulation system, the white ink is transported to the print head utilizing the siphon effect.

3. How does Siphon White Ink Circulation benefit a DTF printer?

So with help of the organic combination of check valves and the siphon effect, how does Siphon White Ink Circulation benefit a DTF printer:

  • Stronger emergency capability: The white ink is transported to the print head using the siphon effect. Even if some components of the white ink circulation system are damaged, the white ink can still be continuously delivered to the print head through the siphon effect. This allows the printer to continue working temporarily, ensuring uninterrupted business and avoiding the risk of losing orders.

  • Simpler maintenance and longer lifespan: This innovative system overcomes the drawbacks of the squeezing circulation system, such as the deformation of the ink tube and the need for regular replacement. Since there is no mechanical squeezing of the ink pipeline, the overall lifespan of the circulation system is improved.

  • Stronger self-priming capability: The check valves at the intake and discharge ends alternate between opening and closing under positive and negative pressure. Even if the transported ink contains a small amount of air, it can be expelled through multiple reciprocating motions. This process enhances the self-priming performance, ensuring efficient ink delivery.
